Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)
Remote patient monitoring provides daily vital sign monitoring in order to spot an unfavorable trend, thereby preventing a costly trip to the emergency room or lengthy hospital stay. This proactive service allows the patient to see their doctor or home health care nurse before it becomes a serious issue requiring a hospital stay.
Conditions suited for monitoring include:
- Congestive heart failure
- Chronic renal failure
- and many others
The telemonitoring nurse will review the daily vital signs (weight, blood pressure, glucose, pulse oxygen levels) for each patient and ensure that they are within the acceptable ranges. If a reading falls outside of this range, a call is placed to the caregiver or patient in order to determine if the reading was correct and if action needs to be taken.
Assured Medical Alliance understands that one device does not work for everyone. This is why we can work with multiple equipment manufacturers and are constantly looking for new products to support. If there is another manufacturer you would like to work with, please contact us.
Assured Medical Alliance has choosen to partner with Ideal Life for our telehealth equipment and software. Ideal Life has been manufacturing equipment since 2002 and has several advantages over other monitoring equipment manufacturers:
- Cost effective: Costs a fracture of what equipment costs from the big name manufacturers
- Allows patients to take readings on his/her schedule.
- Use only the peripherals you need.
- Place the scale in the bathroom, the cell pod in the kitchen, and blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter in the living room.
- Provide easy access to your family or physician using MyVitals.Net
The Ideal Life software is also able to provide real-time, 2-way audio and video visit capabilities. All you have to do is swap out the cellular pod for a tablet and now your doctor(s) and nurse(s) can talk to and see your patient which allows you to triage an abnormal reading easier. Visit our video webpage for more information about our video visit capabilities.
Visit our logistics webpage to learn about our logistic services where a AMA technician will install, service and removal equipment directly in the patient's home.
